Our Events
A foragers tea!
Our events are all aimed at helping people join us to share some of the wonders and beauty of the countryside and nature. We prefer small groups whenever possible so they are friendly, informative and everybody can get to ask their questions or hear what is being said.
Some events are free but some or all of any ticket prices is always given to local wildlife charities.
If you have ideas for walks you would like, in places you would like to visit or to see particular things, you are welcome to use the Contact page to let us know.
You will find frequent updates on nature, walk ideas and local places to visit to find nature walks via our Facebook page.
Example events
These can be very varied.
- a guided walk around a place, generally from one of the walks on this website
- A walk to find a special species in wildlife, eg a bird or a butterfly
- A fungus foray
- A foraging walk to identify edible plants

Foraging
Foraging events are all lead by Emily Murphy. Emily has a wealth of experience and knows the local countryside and plantlife well. Her walks often include samples of some of her recipes, showing her skills as a chef, and may also offer leaflets with information or recipes to help you make the most of your interest. You can see more on Emily's Fruits of the Forager website and Facebook pages
Please note that picking your own plants requires care and you should be beyond doubt that you are choosing the right plant.
We require all foragers to read and adhere to the Foragers Code
