Join me, a birdwatcher for over 40 years, to visit an area known for its Nightingales. Hear them sing! They are fast declining but this place is generally reliable. There will be two easy walk distances, the shortest a 3 mile walk with no hills or stiles, but where there is long grass. We will visit a beautiful local nature reserve and have a canalside walk. An extended walk without hills or stiles, will be offered to add another 4 miles to increase the chances of finding Nightingales and see other birds including terns. This will make the finish later but if the group wishes we can stop at a popular pub half way for refreshments. Bring binoculars. No children under 12 please, nor dogs on this occasion.
